I don't know of anyone who enjoys times of trials and tribulations but I believe if we could see the big picture we would see that there is a purpose for every bump in the road of our lives.    When we read bible stories to our children about people like Noah, Esther, Daniel, or David we are giving them examples of those before us who have gone through trials and come out victorious.    James said it well when he said "blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which Yahvah hath promised to them that love Him."    (James 1:12 KJV, Sacred Name restored)

What is your test today?  What is your temptation?    Many people are not attracted to worldy lusts, but simply grow weary in well doing and become lukewarm in their walk with the Savior.   So just remember that you have One who is "able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy."   (Jude 24)

 Quietly, Confidently, Continuing

The longer I live the more I am convinced that life is all about patience and persisitence.  Most of our lives are spent waiting.  Waiting to go start our education, then waiting to get out of school.  Waiting to get a job, then waiting to get time off. Waiting to get married, then waiting for our children to grow up, but life is what happens while we are waiting.   So the way we spend our time while we are waiting is very crucial.   Actually the whole world is groaning and travailing in anticipation for the climax of this age.   The hardest thing for most of us is the uncetainty of the future.

But if we sow the right seeds today we will reap something good tomorrow.  That recipe will work in any situation.   So the best thing we can do is to calmly and confidently cast our bread upon the waters, continue in well doing and prepare to be pleasantly surprised.
